About volume conversions
Volume conversions are essential for cooking, chemistry, fuel measurement, and liquid handling. The most common conversions are between liters (metric) and gallons (US/imperial), and between milliliters and fluid ounces for smaller quantities.
Note that US and imperial (UK) gallons differ significantly — one US gallon equals 3.785 liters while one imperial gallon equals 4.546 liters. Always check which standard applies when doing international conversions.
